Dizziness and balance issues can be symptoms of untreated thyroid disorders such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. When used for diagnosis, very small amounts of radioactive iodine help highlight the areas where cancerous thyroid cells are on scans. We look at Hims and Roman, two of the biggest names in telehealth services for men. A tracer dose of radioactive iodine can also be used to track remaining thyroid tissue and/or cancer that could have spread to other parts of the body. Particularly if theres a very low risk of recurrence, we may recommend only a partial thyroidectomy or removal of a part of someones thyroid gland and not give them radioactive iodine therapy at all.
